What a great Geology trip (holiday!). Loads of great birds... Before you ask, the feathered kind of bird. Right, back to business:
|
Redwing sat at the top of a tree |
|
Arctic Skua waiting to steal some food! |
|
Great Northern Divers |
|
Waterfall |
I saw birds that I may not get chance to see for a long time or get close to them in the way they allowed. We had great fun. These photos have indeed been edited. So, for example, the Great Northern Divers photo is actually a HDR. However, I found that I had ghosts of the birds from the movement of them. Because of this, I looked back through the images used to make the image and copied the birds from that one and put them back onto the HDR image in the way how they looked on the lake... Nothing wrong with that is there?
The Waterfall was spectacular. It had a colony of Fulmar sea birds on the cliffs around it. The sea was not too far away and it seemed to be a good place for them. I had framed this with the guy in shot because it shows the scale... I hope!
Well, hope that you like these and all comments and criticisms are always welcome.
Matt
Good work! Only four?
ReplyDeleteThere are a few more but wasn't really happy with the results - when we were out, the sun was really very high in the sky even though it was eight o'clock! Will have to show you some others later!
