A good weekend...

After looking at the weather forecast and the weather on both Saturday and Sunday, it looked like it wasn't going to overly great for photography. However, Saturday had some superb spells of good light and Sunday had a great afternoon despite the terrible damp and low cloud weather of the morning.

On the Saturday, I caught up with some good and comical friends (whose links are the side Dave Newby, Clare and Clare) and witnessed a spectacle that I had only ever seen in photographs... The Great Crested Grebe courtship dance:

This photo of the Greylag was originally a very tight image with the wing tips touching the edge of the frame. Therefore, I have enlarged the frame's height and given the Greylag a bit of room to fly in!
