A wood... at first glance

A friend had told me about a wood near to us that has some outstanding birds in it. Eventually I found it and had half an hour walking through it. I saw a Blue Tit... Hummm.

I met up with my friend as he knew some good spots to look for. I followed him into the wood and he instantly disappeared into the undergrowth and called out that he could hear a Treecreeper. Following him over fallen logs, we caught up with the Treecreeper, Goldcrest and Chifchaf, not to mention to the Greater Spotted Woodpecker. What a good day!

Here is a shot of the Treecreeper (I'm afraid that the Goldcrest moved far too quickly for me to get a shot free of movement!
