Great Crested Grebe
Just because you have two weeks off on holiday doesn't mean that you can't stop working! Exams coming up soon mean that I have to get a bit of revision in!
In between revision sessions, I have tried to find time to do stuff outdoors but I always get the feeling I should be working... not great! But from today's little outting, we saw a Short Eared Owl about half a mile away (not photographing range there!), Willow Warblers (which are brilliant at evading photographers) and Blackcaps (also very good at hiding from photographers). I guess what I am trying to say is that I didn't get many photos at all today - just don't quite have the time to spare the whole day for a good walk and around and photographing session. But, here's a shot of a Great Crested Grebe who stopped on his way around one of the pits. Converted the shot to B&W, cropped in and added a very slight vignette. Slightly mucked up the exposure, hence the slightly overexposed side of the face and the neck.
Here is the shot:
Hope that you like it.
